Thar she blows!

BOOM!

Looks like another volcano eruption will ground air traffic. I'm not that bothered because I'm not going anywhere any time soon, but I guess it's a big deal to everyone who might potentially be affected by it! I don't know how we have coped in the past though... surely volcanoes have been erupting every year in or around places of civilisation... right? Because I have never heard of planes not being able to fly when a volcano has erupted because of 'ash clouds'... I admit, I am one of conspiracies - I don't believe anything the news says because I honestly think we are only told things the powers that be want us to know, and everything else is swept under the rug, but this ash cloud business is such a strange story it's just so hard to believe it's real!

Talking of things not real, I finally saw Thor, THE MOVIE... and was... disappointed? I don't know if that is the right word. I need to watch it again I think. I was in a bad mood when I watched it and I think it might have impaired my viewing, but even if I had been in a good mood I think I would have been hard pushed to find it 'good'. I won't give you a full review because it will ruin it, but I just wasn't a fan of how rushed it all seemed - there was too much going on and... I don't know... I just didn't get it!

Anywho - this is the start of the final week of Uni work. I am working on my final assignment now (well... in a second) and it has to be handed in on Friday. I'm not confident about this one. I have no idea what I'm writing about, but meh. It's the last one so I'm not sweating it too much!

Peace out!

Quick, Hide, The Rapture is coming...

Oh.. Rapture? I thought you meant Raptor, as in, velociraptor. Jeez. Don't try to scare me like that!!

So, I assume you have ALL heard. The end of the world isn't NEXT year. It's THIS year. This weekend in fact. May 21st is apparently the day of the Rapture, as mentioned in La Holy Bible... You know. That book someone wrote a millennia AFTER the Mayans wrote their calendars... so who do we believe. The OLD religion, who say its 2012, or the newer religion who say it's 2011?? (and by new religion, I of course just mean that one guy, Harold Camping, who has decided he has understood the Bible, where all others have failed)?

If I had to chose, I'd say the newer religion, because they are so darn good at taking an original thought and then changing it for their own needs and pretending like the came up with it first....

Of course, I'm not going to believe any of them, because, well, let's face it - if the world was going to end, wouldn't God, or Jesus have tweeted about it already? Nothing is secret or sacred anymore now we have the all intrusive social networks! :P

I love the fact that people say the world is going to end and at least 1000 people believe it. I might just say it will happen in 2013, just because no one has said it yet, that way if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but if I'm right, well, what a feeling to have been right about it 'all along'! :D It's a win win situation! wait... no it isn't.

Oh dear. Well. If the world ends this weekend, I'm going to Heaven, because the guy upstairs already gave me permission. Thanks Dad :)

PS. Not bashing religions, just making with the funny!

I wish I could get my head around THOR!

So!

I was trying to think of something to blog about, as I haven't really had any idea's of late and decided that today, no matter what, I would write a blog. Mostly due to the fact that I have to start my final assignment and I'm trying to put it off... but also, I really do feel blogging helps me get my creative juices flowing!

Anywho, THOR! The big question on everybody's lips. But not really.

I haven't seen the movie yet, so this is just my ramblings of my confusion and ultimate annoyance of the world of Thor. You see, it really bugs me.

I had never seen Iron man 2, or even the 2nd hulk movie, as I didn't like Iron Man the first, and I was never a HUGE Hulk fan (see what I did there, because the hulk is huge... no? Oh, forget it). But my boyfriend really wanted to watch the Marvel movies from the start, as they are all connected blah blah blah. So I agreed I would do it, because I love super hero movies (oh, here we go, this is going to be a looong blog, sorry!). So we watched Iron Man the first, and I have to say, I did enjoy it more the 2nd time around, even though I still think the first half is way too long, and Tony Stark is a douche! That, however, is besides the point. We then watched The Incredible Hulk. The one with Ed Norton - which everyone thinks is better than the first one with Eric Bana, but I'm just not down with that! The one with Ed Norton is so much worse. I could go into why, but I don't want this blog to take up 5 hours of anyone's life! Moving on, we then watched Iron Man 2 just last night and I really really liked it. So much better than the 1st one by miles! But, well... this is where my heart and brain duke it out, because the next film to see in this little rush up to the Avengers movie (you know, once Captain America has been released and the new Spiderman... and X-men first class... damn they really are making a huge franchise, aren't they?), the next movie is Thor. And my heart wants to see it very much - I love all things myth related, and I love Christopher Hemsworth (Hello! Kim from home and away!) but my head screams NOOOOO!!!! because this is where the whole Marvel Universe busts wide open and just seems... unrealistic? I know its silly to say, but when you think about all of the other super heroes Marvel have to offer they could all be real - chemical accidents and spider bites could all be real.... kind of... but, well... a God? And the Norse God of Thunder, no less... working side by side with mutants and science experiments... it just seems mental. To bring a 'higher power' into a world of humans 'just trying to do the right thing' really bothers me. I can't explain it very well... Ah! Nay bother eh?

I don't know why I take it so seriously anyway. It's not like any of this is real... right? And who goes to the cinema to watch a story unfold? Surely we all just go to stare at the bulging biceps?

Yeah! That's what I thought! :)

Haters gon' hate!

I have such a bad habit of being negative towards people, but eh, what you gonna do?

I realised this when I saw Peter Andre on TV... again. My first thought was 'Why in God's name are you STILL on TV?' I guess it's easy to blame the stupid person who whores themselves out because they are in need of CONSTANT attention. But we should just stop and think about the idiotic TV people who decided to offer people like him TV shows in the first place. Because I'll be honest. If ITV2 said to me 'Hey! You! Here, have a TV show. We'll pay you £100k', I'd first say something like... 'WHY?' and then about 5 seconds later I know I'd say yes. Because if someone offers you money to be stupid, you're gonna do it. Even though I don't want to be famous in the slightest, it would be hard to turn down, so I can get why the people who are desperate to be famous would say yes yes yes to everything!

I really want to learn to put to practise the saying 'If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.'

But it's increasingly hard to let ridiculas people get away without a stern word!

God, this is a boring blog... what can make it better?

A PICTURE!

Random Picture Moment:

I want to sleep here... I think...part of me would love it. Part of me would be terrified... hello! Jaws 2 (was it??)

Well, I'll try to think of something to blog about that won't be as dull as my recent ones!

Laters Y'all!

May the Fourth be with you

I don't know about you, but just saying that makes me feel like I have a speech impediment.

Everyone is raving on about how its 'Starwars Day'... honestly, the excuses people come up with to have a party.

It's Bank Holiday, WOO!
It's Another Bank Holiday, WOO!
It's the Royal Wedding, WOO!
It's the day Bin Laden died, WOO!
It's StarWars day, WOO!

Why can't people just simmer down and accept the fact that the cynical folk in the world don't need an excuse to celebrate!? We celebrate every day. In our own way.

It's another day just like yesterday, Woo!

I joke of course. I love that people celebrate and find any excuse to do it. I am the happiest cynic I know. I'm the Bi-Polar of cynicism. I don't get enthused when everyone else does, but then when I'm around those who are unenthusiastic I jump up and down and wonder why they can't enjoy themselves like me!

Still, I'd rather be the Bi-Polar of cynicism than Charlie Sheen's version of Bi-Winning. What does that even mean? Bi-winning sounds like he is a bisexual who gets a lot of action... you know what I mean?! Totes!

I must dash. I should be reading stuff for Uni, as per usual. But I'm making soup too... soup comes first. I'm terribly hungry. Tom Soup for the win!

I never was very good at keeping promises!

I promised myself I would blog every day in April but I failed miserably. Although I'm sure if I counted the number of posts it would equate to a months worth of blogging as I wasted some posts by publishing more than one a day me thinks... ah, oh well.

MAY! How can this be? It's crazy! I have nothing to blog about, by the way, I'm just rambling whilst my fella has a shower. We have been using this gloriously sunny day to sit inside and play XBOX games. I love playing XBOX on sunny days, it just feels like the right thing to do. Don't worry, I didn't waste the sun totally. I did go and sit outside Starbucks for breakfast coffee! If that's not celebrating the heat, I don't know what is!

On a side note, I watched the Nic Cage movie 'Next' last night and it was ace. I love Nicolas Cage films, and will watch them whenever I can because I truely think he is one of the best actors of our time. However, I know this is just my opinion and not fact by the way everyone I know pretty much tells me I'm insane. What can I say? He really is my favorite. I don't know why, but I just wondered if he had some sort of band, or sang at all... because it would fit the image I have of him in my head... I might do some investigating and find out. I'd love it if he did sing. He would then by my ultimate hero!

Anyway, this was a wasted blogging experience! Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday folks!

I've got a SPRING in my step...

And I'm full of bad jokes like that!

I went to get weighed last night, after Easter... and only put on half a pound, which is easy to lose plus more, so I am happy! Eating chocolate ALL week (and boy, did I ever eat chocolate) I thought I was going to put on a lot more, so thank Zeus I didn't!

As it's Spring and I'm all happy about the weather, I have been looking into buying some new trainers to take me on my jogging travels... but I don't know which ones to get. I like Acer trainers but I kind of like Nike too... so I have to try to decide what kind of investment I'm wanting to make! I also wanted to buy a new bike... but it's just one of those things that is beyond me... how in the world do you pick a bike? This is something that shouldn't be this hard to do, but it's proving difficult to say the least. Not that I can afford both a bike and new trainers, but still!

Shopping is something I don't tend to do a lot of, but when I buy I usually buy big! At the moment I have so many things I need to buy it's upsetting to think of my money going kaput! But needs must!

Anywho, without further ado. Spring is here:
