Barceloooonaaaaaa (it was the first night that we met).

This is why everyone on the plane to Barcelona on Friday will hate me.
Yes, you heard correctly. I am flying to Barcelona for a few days on Friday afternoon. Never been... not sure what to expect. Not really in a holiday mood, if you can believe it! Most people go on holiday to get away from real life obligations. But it's those real life obligations that are making me NOT want to go away! I'm a backwards gal!

So, on Friday I will be doing my best impersonations of Freddie Mercury whilst simultaneously crapping myself (figuratively) because I'm scared of flying and all that jazz. Why can't we teleport? Huh? I mean... it's got to be possible. We are living in the future! I just thought about that last sentence then and my mind boggled itself. Imagine if we did live in the future... then it wouldn't be the future... it would be the present.... so the future isn't a real place? Mind officially blown.

God, you know it's bad when you start to rant to yourself (because that's what blogging really is).

I should be doing work. Instead I'll just let you know I went to see Avengers last night. I enjoyed it, bar a few stupid things. It was really long too.... And how come the men in it are so... ripped? It's unfair to make real people like me expect that men like that really exist. I mean. I'm not in the market for any men, but I'd still like to see those muscles walk past me every now and again, ya know?

I should be reading...

But I'm blogging instead. I love procrastination blogging the best! hehe.

I am supposed to be reading Wuthering Heights. Is is just me, or is it unfathomable? Maybe I'm just not smart enough to 'get' it, but it's unintelligable writing. Classic my ass. If the words made sense I'm sure the story would do better. I can tell there is something of interest in the lines, but the style is just so in direct dissent to what I like to read I'm finding it all a bit of a challenge. I think I'm about 40% done with it... and I really need to finish it by tomorrow... hmmm. We will see how that goes!

I went to the cinema this weekend and watched many a film. These will be blogged about over here (well, how else do I big up my other blog?). 3 films at the cinema and one at my friends house. The 3 at the cinema were Carnage, Young Adult and Man on a Ledge. The one on TV was Timer. I will rate all of these for my own enjoyment! You can't stop me. I also find I am giving really good ratings to things. I am just too nice... but I really enjoy films, so what can I say? I'll have to watch a crap one just so I can show some judgement (where's my DVD copy of Gigli?)

I also ordered some things from Ama... wait, can I say the name of shops on here? Do I get freedom of speech or will I be slapped for advertising? Oh God, the rules. The rules. Well.. I shopped online somewhere that rhymes with Bamazon (thank you Creative Writing course, for helping me with my rhymes). It's a Moleskin Passions book where you can log books you read, write about them, rate them. A book diary if you will. So I have started to fill it in with books I'm reading this year to correlate with my 2012 GoodReads challenge.
Here is one of the pages:

You probably can't make out my scrawl, but it's a pretty cool book!

Not much else has been going on so I really should get back to reading this Wuthering business!

Heaaathcliffff, it's Caaathhhyyy!

Movies? What movies?

Yo!

I just thought I'd, um... big up my one of my other blogs...

I hate doing it, but it has no followers, see, and I hate writing for nobody! So... if you like films, and want to know what I'm watching you can head over :

HERE

I got to the cinema a lot, and watch a lot of DVD's so I'm going to try to keep up with myself. So far I'm up to date for this year... I'll try to maintain such things. I promise!

Toodles!

Who knew?

Who knew there was so much thought that had to go into trying to launch a website? Well, I'll be honest, I kind of had an small idea but this is turning into a project and a half. I guess I don't mind though - I don't have much riding on this, it was just for fun - if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But I do want it to be a regular stop for some people, on their Internet travels. Ah, we'll see what happens. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on what's going on.

At the moment, I'm just trying to figure out the layout - the theme is set for now, just a basic template as themes are something you can tweak along the way.

We're also trying to nail down the content - the content for the launch and the future content, and for that I need people to help. But until we go live I can't recruit anyone as it's all hush hush. I think I've only told one of my friends what the site is. She was kind of interested, but, well... she isn't an Internet person so she doesn't really care. I can deal with that though.

This is kind of just a bloggy blog for the time being. I just thought I'd let you know what I've been up to, which is basically panic about Uni. But so far, so good. the 1st week has been a fun one. My English Lit course starts on Saturday (Monday for me, as that's my allotted Uni day) where I will have to start reading Othello. Fun times. My writing course has been going well, just learnt some writing exercises which I have to do every day, but it all makes so much sense. You're supposed to write every day - they say that a musician practises every day, and artist sketches every day, so why wouldn't a writer write, just to practise - find your voice. Yes. I am on this page with them, I love writing - I love typing too, so blogging for me is a way to free up my creative self. I feel like a hippie. I don't know why!

Recently my boyfriend has been introducing me to David Lynch films. I loved the TV show he did, Twin Peaks and have always wanted to watch more of his stuff, and as my boyfriend has a collection of thousands of films (not exaggerated - movies are his life, and hopeful career) and a strong love of the Lynch he has them all on his shelf. So we started. So far I've watched Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart and Lost Highway - my favorite so far being Blue Velvet, but I can't get Lost Highway out of my head. I'm still trying to figure out what it meant. People think he's nuts, but I think he's a genius and we just can't see things on the level he sees them.

I've totally forgotten what else I've been up to - just Zumba'ing around at the gym and trying to keep moving every which way I can, be it a quick stint of yoga, a short run or some weights at home. Although nothing makes me ache more than the wii fit. I don't know why....

This weekends plans are - cinema, of course, to see Drive and The Lion Kind 3D. Well, I saw Jurassic Park at the cinema the other day and feeling all nostalgic for my childhood figured I'd better watch it! I'm also going to TGI Friday's which is my kryptonite. I pray I can keep my cool and resist all the bad food... praying they have a healthy salad on the menu!

I'll be off now - Going to blog again soon though - there's still a cake recipe or 2 to come and a blog about the new TV show Terra Nova, so stay tuned!

Sentimental Movies for ALL!

I set this blog post up ages ago and never posted it.

As I've not been in the blogging frame of mind I figured I shouldn't write anything about anything! But I have actually quite missed scattering my thoughts out onto the not so literal page, so I'll try to remember what I was going to say about sentimental movies.

I accidentally skipped onto the family movie channel the other day. I say accidentally because I don't normally watch the family channel, unless, you know, they're showing harry potter! But I saw Hachiko: A dogs story was on so I figured I'd watch a few minutes to see how cute the dog was...

as it turns out - he's stupidly cute!
And then I got dragged into the story. It was adorable. I don't usually like sentimental stories because I find them a little bit pointless, besides, its not cool to tear up over a dog film... but this film was actually so sad I had to turn over before it even finished. I couldn't do it to myself... I have decided I need a dog like that in my life though! Honestly, so cute and cuddly, Sam must have now!

As for other animal films I have seen of late, I saw the Rise of the Planet of the Apes - which was amazing. I didn't really want to see it, as I don't like monkey movies, but I have since seen it twice. Because it was that good, oh, and my mum wanted to see it but didn't have anyone to go with - community service done for the month! Honestly, I couldn't recommend this film more - obviously it's totally science fiction, so people who go and say 'it was a bit far fetched'... well, they aren't really in 'the zone'. Would you go to see Star Wars and say 'it's a bit far fetched? Why would Yoda float?' - No... because Yoda isn't real... and neither are the monkeys in this movie... so...

What's more impressive is the motion capture and the tech they used to film the monkeys, which were mostly played by humans in those funny suits with dots all over them. When you see the 'making of' (available on Youtube for those interested) segments, you see how amazing it really is that they are able to do what they do! Movie magic!

I also saw the new Pedro Almodovar film, The Skin I Live In - which was... different. Spanish, obviously, and I really think Spanish humor, horror and suspense films are totally different to UK or US films. They have a different view on things. As an example - at certain parts of the movie I hear a few people in the cinema laugh out loud. And I knew they had to be Spanish... turns out I was right, at the end I hear them talking and they were of Spanish blood. However, it doesn't make the film bad, it just means those little jokes that have been slotted into the film which isn't funny just aren't gotten by us lowly brits. It's not a comedy though, not in the least. The first 30 mins were actually painful because it was so boring. I was in half a mind to walk out, but I decided not to and it was worth staying, because when the penny finally drops and you have that 'OH, I get it!' moment, the film becomes 100% better. In fact, I'd watch it again now if I could. It was well played.

TV wise, I've been submerging myself into a new fandom - the world of Fringe. It's like X Files, mixed with Dark Angel and kind of CSI like - and it's superb! It's really captured my imagination and I've blitzed season 1 and going to pick up season 2 today so I can find out what happened next! Also, welcome back Joshua Jackson - long missed on my TV screen!

Apart from not blogging, and watching movies, I've been reading LOTS - and fretting about how uni starts in 1 month and I still have to buy all my books for it. It's going to be another bad month for my bank account! Boo!

Well - sorry for no colours and editing of this. Got to head out. It looks set to rain and I have a mile to walk to my fella's house, and then another mile or so to get to the shops. Yes. I am without car today. My feet are in for some abuse!

Transformers... and Bad Teachers.

All in one day!

I haven't blogged for a while, all due to the fact that my life is increasingly dull at the moment. However, I'm here to say I'm still alive! And I'm still trying to watch as many movies as I can (although not many at the cinema recently, sadly).

And I figured I'd tell you what I thought of Transformers 3 - Dark Side of the Moon, and Bad Teacher...

Well. I liked them. Both. Transformers was fun, and loud and all shooting and fighting (the only thing that upsets me about these films is the mess they make when they fight!), and although some of it (ok most of it) was daft, it was a huge step up from the awfulness of the 2nd film!

Bad teacher was funny and a lot ruder than I thought it would be, but again - I recommend. I find it hard to think of Cameron diaz as 'sexy' because to me, she aint, but she plays a messed up slut bag and it suits her just fine! haha.

Well. That was painless. I might blog more often!

Thar she blows!

BOOM!

Looks like another volcano eruption will ground air traffic. I'm not that bothered because I'm not going anywhere any time soon, but I guess it's a big deal to everyone who might potentially be affected by it! I don't know how we have coped in the past though... surely volcanoes have been erupting every year in or around places of civilisation... right? Because I have never heard of planes not being able to fly when a volcano has erupted because of 'ash clouds'... I admit, I am one of conspiracies - I don't believe anything the news says because I honestly think we are only told things the powers that be want us to know, and everything else is swept under the rug, but this ash cloud business is such a strange story it's just so hard to believe it's real!

Talking of things not real, I finally saw Thor, THE MOVIE... and was... disappointed? I don't know if that is the right word. I need to watch it again I think. I was in a bad mood when I watched it and I think it might have impaired my viewing, but even if I had been in a good mood I think I would have been hard pushed to find it 'good'. I won't give you a full review because it will ruin it, but I just wasn't a fan of how rushed it all seemed - there was too much going on and... I don't know... I just didn't get it!

Anywho - this is the start of the final week of Uni work. I am working on my final assignment now (well... in a second) and it has to be handed in on Friday. I'm not confident about this one. I have no idea what I'm writing about, but meh. It's the last one so I'm not sweating it too much!

Peace out!

Cinema trips and DVD's

Weeeelllll. I think it is fair to say I am an avid cinema goer and film watcher. I'm not a film buff, as that would mean knowing a lot about films in general and some technical stuff. I am not one of those people. Sure, I'll waffle on to my boyfriend about themes and moods, and whether story lines and characters are convincing, whether I believed the actor when he delivered a certain line, but really I just do that for fun, because he listens to me and pretends what I am saying makes sense. He actually knows his shi... stuff. He studied film at Uni. (jealous). No. I just really REALLY appreciate films. The Cinema is a place I know I can go and have an experience to remember. I might not remember exactly when I saw a film, but I almost always remember how I felt when I saw it, and for some reason, where i was sitting in the theatre. I hate going and the cinema being ruined by kids without parental supervision or people sitting in your seats (hello! they ask you where you want to sit for a reason, why did you chose to sit in the seat I specifically chose?!) or when people talk the whole way through a film (no need), but other than this I feel like the cinema is a home away from home. You can get food and drinks. The seats are comfy and if you go as often as me the people are familiar! I am the same with DVD's in a sense that I don't like to pevert the movie watching experience. I won't watch pirate DVD's. ever, if I can help it. Because I like the experience of looking at the case. Opening the case. Putting on a crystal clear picture that you know won't be ruined by someone in the screen standing up to go to the toilet. I suppose it helps I get free rentals, so I can experience BluRay for nothing, but still - If I had to pay I would! Nothing beats the pureness of a movie night. I just thought I would share that. I am going to attempt to blog a lot more in April. Some people I follow are doing a Blog Every Day in April (BEDA) but I doubt I'll do that, so I'm going to try to blog more little random things like this - and also try to up my cinema trips as I feel cineworld are making a pakcet from me at the moment. I pay a subscription and if I don't go at least twice in a month they win! Gah! Peace out homies! Ps. blog edit thing still not working, so I'm sorry!!!

INSERT HERE

Yo! It's been a little while since I last blogged, and I thought now was the right time to do it. Right when I have an assignment due - and should be editing. Meh. What can ya do?! I'm currently sat here... downloading something. Basically, I had Microsoft Word, but then lost it as it turns out I only had a stupid trial one on my laptop (part of the reason I bought this is because I needed Word). So I have been trying to find a torrent file for Word to download. I know. I know. Naughty Sam, but still... I refuse to pay for something that should just be free with computers! And have you seen the price? Jeez! Talking of money I just recently realised next years Uni course is going to cost me about £1400... yep. I am still a little baffled. But it's basically because I will be doing 2 courses at the same time, so I can do the 3rd year course I really want to do. Which I have changed... Oh its all going down over here! I was going to do some sort of History degree because I have this hugely huge passion to learn about ancient history and myths, but that meant doing a year studying Medieval history and the middle ages and all that jazz. I'm not really into that. At all. So I figured, screw this. I'll do history of film. which was something else I was interested in, as I ultimately want to do something in film at some point in my life. No... that course has disappeared. joy. So then I think. well, I'll do what I wanted to do a few years back, and now I'm buzzed about it. I can't wait to start, even though I am taking on double the work load. BUT, I will be doing English Lit. Studying Reading and Studying Literature and Creative writing... It might turn into too much, but oh well. It's what I wanted to do for a long time but didn't because I'm one of those people who doesn't want to do something they don't think they will succeed in because there is too much competition in the industry already... because in the 3rd year I want to do advanced creative writing. Basically what I'm saying is for the most part of my life I have wanted to write for a living. Not that I ever write anything. its a bit of a pipe dream. Because I don't believe I would ever be good enough to actually write anything for a living I have never tried. Much like why I gave up photography and pretty much everything I really wanted to do. I don't want to fail... but I am going to give this a go. Once and for all. In other news... hmm... let me think. I can't really remember what I have been up to. I work in a Pensions company so work has actually been manic, with my work load almost tripling in size as its the end of the tax year tomorrow and we have new legislation coming in next week which means people are scurrying to get money and forms in to us asap. Which means everyone thinks their cases are more urgent than everyone Else's. So I've been stressed out of my mind for the past month, but work is work. Horrible! :P And in OTHER news, it's me and my boyfriends 2 year anniversary next Tuesday so we are treating ourselves to a movie at the IMAX in Manchester. We got premier seats to see Sucker Punch. really excited! Been watching loads of films recently as we are going to be writing a screen play soon - horror genre, of course - so researching horror films. But I have to say, this weekend I HAVE to watch a movie with a happy ending. I love horror films, but for God's sake, I can't watch a film where everyone dies for a while. It's starting to depress me! haha. Right, best get cracking with the assignment. Curses. Sam ps. I couldn't edit this post due to stupid blogger systems. So you must read it as is. Apologies! :)

From Sam, with Love.

Ahhh.
So, it was Valentines day t'other day. Hope everyone got a card or gift, or roses. If not - it IS a stupid holiday, you're right. You ARE better off without someone..... ok.. OK! Fine. Here are some roses just for you:

Back to business.

I was supposed to blog something last week, but just didn't have the energy or time. I had lots of social things to do (like watch the social network again), and went out for dinner about... oh, 3 times last week... and had a take away (yummy Indian food). But still managed to lose 2 1/2 lbs! I have no clue how as the week before I only lost 1 1/2 lbs and all I ate was fruit and veg. So it seems eating out is actually better for me. Not so good for my bank account though! Sadly.

I am trying to remember what I have actually been up to of late, but can't. I went to the cinema, of course! I saw The Fighter, which was good but not near enough actual fighting in it. But it had some great actors in it, and had a nice story buried in there amongst the drug addict story line.

I also read my little brain off last week. In the past week, maybe just over a week, I have finished 3 books. I am starting a new one today. In such a reading mood its just silly. Today I will be reading the last installment of the Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. Great books about a futuristic world where children have to compete in a barbaric survival game - the last one standing wins and gets to go home. It's really great though and the characters are so vivid - my boyfriend tells me it sounds like The Running Man, starring Arnie - I should really check that out.

In other news, I am going to see True Grit tonight with some pals and in further news my friend who has been in China for the past 8 or 9 months is coming home at the weekend. So lots to prepare for that! I am trying to fit my Uni work into this hectic week, but it's not working too well. So I will have to try to do some 'light' reading in between everything else. On a plus note, I hit my last assignment outta the park and got a really good grade, so that's perked me up some!

I think that's all from me! No pictures of the week or anything as I can't be bothered!

Be back soon!

Sam

ps. Lost 11lb's in total. Almost at 1 stone!

a little less weight and a little more light

Ahhh!

How much do I love it when it stays light outside for longer?! VERY MUCH is the answer. The fact that I walked home at 4:30, when it is usually pretty dark, in sunshine, is saying something. It makes me happy inside to see it light and see blue sky when its after 4:30... because soon it will be light after 5, and then 6 etc. and then SUMMER is here. I can't wait for summer. So much so that I'm already daydreaming about picnics that will never happen, road trips I'll never take and barbecues which I will definitely inflict on some people!!! I love barbecues. As a vegetarian I feel I have really perfected it. As you can't get ill from Quorn not being cooked properly - all you do is heat it and you're done in about 6 or 7 minutes. I recall last year I had a BBQ with some friends. I had had a hot dog and a burger (with delish relish and salad), before they had even heated up their sausages. HA! Well, what can I say? Vegetarians know what they're doing, even in such a meaty situation. Ooooh, meaty situation. I don't think I will ever use those two words together again. That was just wrong!
Speaking of food and the title of my blog! I went to Slimming World tonight for my first week weigh in and I lost 5lbs. Which is pretty good for the first week, when I went out for dinner on Saturday and baked a damn good Victoria Sponge cake on Sunday. Mmmmm. I'm still reeling from how good it was. My baking is getting damn good!
So on to this next week. Who knows what I'll lose, but I'm optimistic, as I have control over what I'm eating, and know what's good, and what I can eat without putting on weight. It's simple. (famous last words).
I was having a little think earlier about my blog. Always trying to adapt and change it etc. And I was thinking I might merge all my blogging ideas into one. You see I wanted to do a review blog (but not a proper one, just a me, saying what I saw and how good it was/ wasn't), and a baking blog. But I really haven't been bothered to start them up properly so I might just inflict you with pictures and recipes perhaps (If I ever get around to it) and little blurbs on the films I see be they in the cinema or on DVD. I won't make them long. Just little bits of writing, as I hate reading people talk about films for pages and pages just to learn it was mediocre.
So yes.
Hope everyone who passes this way is well.

Sam
ps. don't you just love it when you hit spellcheck and there is nothing to correct?!

Picture of the day:
Oh to be in this picture!

What? August has gone where?

*GASP*
It's September tomorrow. School starts! Well, not for me (mine doesn't start until October), but its officially that time again. I love this time. Apart from I always feel restless and nervous around the start of September because its when we would go back to school and that thought still terrifies me to this day. Even though I haven't been at school in... well, longer than I care to mention, I still get that same feeling. But then its followed by the nice Autumn feeling, which is one of the best. Don't know what I'm talking about? Go outside and take a whiff of bonfire air! That's autumn feeling summed up in one smell!
I got all my open university books the other day. Can't remember if I blogged about that. Anyway, there is a box full of them, which scares me, but it should be good to learn. I kind of like learning. I think... I haven't learnt anything that meant actual text book learning in a while. And that's the part I worry about most. Because as much as I love to read, reading to learn is something that my brain can't (or refuses) to do. Still, we will see what happens.
I'm currently flicking through my Spotify music to try to find a song that I feel like listening to, but can't settle on anything. I don't know what mood I am in. Apart from I have a lot of energy today, so I should probably stop listening to sad slow songs. I will have to work off this energy with exercise me thinks. Boo.
Speaking of music, I have a lot of new soundtracks at the moment, because I have caught up (mostly) on all the films out at the moment, and have to then listen to the soundtracks because they are always (mostly) good. I love soundtracks and scores. LOVE them!
This bank holiday weekend I have seen 6 films. 1 last week (it still counts as this weekend!), 2 on Saturday and 3 yesterday. That's right. I finally did it. a 3 film day! at the cinema! I was impressed with myself! I saw:
Salt - which was good. Lots of action and the back story was OK. It was a good all-rounder really. Sure if you pick at it you could find things wrong, but who cares? really? I don't know why people pick films apart. Just enjoy them for what they are already! OK. Rant over.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - was really great, but I don't know why! It was mental. I couldn't figure out if it was real or not. Set in the real world I mean. It was funny, and loud and bright and stupid, but genius at the same time!
The Girl Who Played With Fire - was probably what you'd expect. Really good film - great story, great shots, looked fantastic, was acted really well. Swedish films are really good, and they are paving the way for European films at the moment. It angers me when the US have to re-make foreign stuff so they don't have to read... lazy! Honestly, watch this one (if you've seen or want to see the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), because its brill!
Step Up 3D - yes, someone who likes foreign films can like these sorts of films! It was brilliant! the 3D was the best 3D I have seen so far, and the dancing was great. So what is the story wasn't technically 'the best' - Moose was back! Huzzah! Watch that little fella dance, so cheesy but still... He's my hero!
The Expendables - is actually good - it was a great action film, and those guys still have it if you ask me. I thought I would be bored. The boyfriend wanted to see it, so I went with him, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. Lots of shooting, some good humour and predictable story line, but even so, its a winner in my book!
Avater: The Last Airbender - its one of those ones you have to really sit down and get into. Because I think if you didn't pay attention and just get into it, you wouldn't care about it. You would just think the acting is shoddy and its a kids film. But honestly, if you were to give it a chance you might be pleasantly surprised. The 3D isn't the selling point on this one, because it was only rendered after it was filmed, so its not the main focus, but the martial arts and the actual places it was filmed are amazing. Story is good if you get into it, even if childish, its a good escape from reality! Ain't that what we all need?
Jeez, didn't intend for this to be a review on films, but I guess it is.
I really have nothing more to say at the moment. Nope. I just thought about it and that's it.
Ciao for now!
Sam

Oh the times they are a changing

Woosh.
What a busy few weeks. I can't really remember where I left this, but once again I failed miserably to blog anything. I have been rushing around like mad of late, and its definitely wearing me down. A few updates are probably needed.
Make up course - its going well, its uber fun but tiring. I don't know what I will do when it finishes, because it will be up to me to pursue it as a career if I want to, which is a scary concept. I don't know, I am still in two minds, because I want to do it, a lot, and I want to get into film or TV, but its hard work and I am bad when it comes to getting into something that's hard work. I want to do it, but I need someone to shove me into it. We got our assignment on Saturday, and its a right old bastard of an assignment. I don't know what the hell I am supposed to do, but I am hoping mine comes out OK. I have taken to being the master photographer for the girls on the most, because I have the most expensive and best camera. Ha ha, like I need an excuse to take pictures. Its been a fun time, getting people to pose in their makeup etc. And emailing them to everyone. The creative monster in me likes to get out every now and then. I will try to put a picture or two up here now they are on my laptop. Here to hoping no one minds their face being plastered on the Internet... Eekers.
I have been a little under the weather over the past...oh, I don't know... 3 weeks. Feeling exhausted and sick all the time, having no appetite and having shakes. Like I'm cold, when I'm not. I finally had to go to the doctors today and get felt.. I mean, checked. Blood tests came next. I have never had my blood taken, so I was left in the waiting room for about 40 mins stewing in fear and hypochondria. Everything that could be wrong with me going through my head. It might be gall stones. Hmmm. I won't google it, because I am sure I will be scared and I KNOW it involves an operation. Ah! No. Not for me, I don't think I will have that. I also have to do a pee pee sample. They have given me the tiniest container. I have no clue how I am going to aim into it. As gross as that sounds.. aiming into something is not my idea of fun. I have yet to find out how i manage on that front.
The latest hot gossip is that I had a first date with a guy yesterday. My sisters boyfriends brother to be exact... which, I know, sounds weird.. but as we discussed yesterday, it happened in Twins (the movie), so I guess its OK. Right? I know.. weird. Oh well. He is really nice though, and sweet and funny, which is good. Its all a bit new right now obviously, but he seems really 'into' me.. which doesn't happen... ever, so I am a bit taken aback by it all. I am useless with emotional stuff, dead inside some say, so its really hard for me to be like that with him.. I don't know, I'm trying to be nice but it doesn't come easily. Plus its hard spending time with someone when you feel sick all the time. Oops. haha.
I have been going to the movies a lot. Knowing - hmmmm... don't miss it, but don't expect it to be the best film. I really want people to see it, so they can be as disappointed in it as I am. that's mean, I know, but who cares? Haha. Marley and Me was OK.... I can't think of much else I have seen now. I just can't keep all these memories in my head, which goes to show that I need to blog more.
Right now I am looking forward to the weekend. I have cinema trips planned, a games night (Risk and Mario Kart) and date number 2, along with Easter - meaning I might eat some chocolate and get to drink my beloved Lucozade drink again. As I gave it up for Lent. And I'm also going shopping. All this on top of finding out my blood work results on Wednesday. Lord, give me strength. I know I shouldn't, but I am preparing for bad news. I have had a good run.. almost 24 years without having to go to hospital. I knew I couldn't be this lucky.
